Most welding jobs hide your work inside a machine. Ours doesn't. At Forge Motorsport, the intercoolers, catch tanks, charge pipes and induction kits you build go straight onto enthusiasts' cars, race cars and show builds in more than 40 countries. Bonnet up, lights on, people leaning in for a closer look. If you take pride in a clean, consistent bead, this is a job where that pride is on display rather than buried under a heat shield.

We're a Gloucester-based manufacturer of performance aftermarket parts, part of Larchtower Engineering. We design and build in-house, which means short runs, genuine variety, and welders who are part of how the product turns out, not just the last step on a line.

What you'll be doing

- TIG welding aluminium to a high cosmetic and structural standard, the core of the role - Stainless and mild steel TIG work as jobs require - Working from engineering drawings, interpreting weld specs and tolerances - Prepping, cleaning, fitting and positioning components before you strike an arc - Setting up and looking after your own welding equipment - Checking your own work for penetration, integrity and finish - Working safely and keeping to production schedules without dropping standards

What we're looking for

- Proven TIG experience on aluminium, with stainless and steel alongside it - A genuinely good hand, we care about consistency and appearance as much as strength - Confident reading engineering drawings - Understanding of different aluminium alloys and how they behave - Attention to detail, and the honesty to flag a part that isn't right - A safety-first approach

We'll happily talk to welders from a fabrication, motorsport, aerospace or general engineering background. If your aluminium work is strong, we can work with the rest.

What you get

- £18.25 per hour (c. £37,000 per year) reviewed on experience - Days only Mon–Thurs 08:00–16:30, Fri 08:00–15:30. Home by half three on a Friday, every week - Overtime available and paid at enhanced rates if you want to earn more - 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (33 days total) - Company pension - Free on-site parking - A permanent, stable role with an established manufacturer
